Associate in Business Applications Unit
Job purpose:
- IT applications development and support, design of business reports, business analysis, solutions design, end-user support, administration of database and related tools
Main responsibilities:
- Gathers business needs and develops detailed business requirements
- Examines existing IT solutions and makes recommendations for improvement/efficiency
- Resolves requirements and design issues
- Participates in the testing process, ensuring testing verifies the user requirements
- Defines, develops, configures and support different computer applications
- Oversees implementation, support and inventory control of applications
- Develops and implements the most efficient and cost-effective solutions
- Evaluates system specifications for business requirements
- Provides training and support to end users
- Participates in IT application testing activities
Main activities:
- Design and development of business reports and BI solutions
- Setup, maintenance and administration of business reporting platforms
- Database administration
- Business analysis, requirements definition
- Managing external IT applications vendor activities
- Application design and development
- Maintenance and improvement of the IT system
- Deployment and testing of new modules of the IT system
- Creating technical and user documentation
- IT problems and issues reporting and management
- Basic database and configuration management activities
- User training
Requirements:
- Experience in IT analyst/design/developer positions
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Business Intelligence platform
- Microsoft Visual Studio, database applications and reports design and development
- Reporting tools (Microsoft Reporting services, Microsoft Analysis services, Crystal Reports)
- UML, ERD design methodologies and tools
- Project management tools (MS Project or other)
- MS Office
- Experience in similar positions related to IT in insurance industry is an advantage
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- University degree in Computer Science or similar
